We are able to reproduce the issue...we are getting actual result....
Here i attached the Screenshot for your reference

Steps we are Followed by...
- Create config product with child variant
- Edit the product and save
- Getting error like "Invalid form key"

@engcom-November: out of curiosity, can you try to raise your max_input_vars value in the php configuration? See documentation: https://www.php.net/manual/en/info.configuration.php#ini.max-input-vars
Its default value of 1000 might not be enough for the amount of fields you are trying to POST. This is just guessing based on a similar issue I saw some years ago around that form key error message.
@engcom-Bravo: what was the reason for closing this? Please always specify a reason when closing issues in the future, otherwise it's confusing the people who watch the ticket.
