Adding abilities after humility

Open Tharkon opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

I played humility. Then I created a 1/1 soldier token with [[Elspeth, Knight-Errant]]. I then played [[Gleam of Authority]] on the token, giving it vigilance and "{W}, {T}: Bloster 1." This all worked fine, I attacked with it, tapped it for its ability. AI Opponent took control of it with Vedalken Shackles and then released control of it again a turn later. (AI seems to always untap Vedalken Shackles every turn, but that's not relevant here.) Next turn when summoning sickness wore off I attacked with and noticed it didn't have vigilance any more, nor did it have its tap ability. It did still have Indestructible from Elspeth's emblem.

I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that as long as the aura comes in play after Humility does, it will grant the ability after Humility has had a chance to remove it, which seemed to work for a while but then stopped working.

This worked fine for me. It kept Vigilance and the ability given by the Gleam of Authority.

I have done some more testing and it seems the abilities disappeared when I played [[Legion's Landing]]. I can't remember if I played that last time as well but I can reproduce it with Legion's Landing now rolling back the turn and replaying it consistently removed both the abilities granted by Gleam of Authority and [[Intangible Virtue]]. However I was not able to reproduce this in a test game so it might not be Legion's Landing specifically but some combination, or maybe some specific board state that triggers it.

Anyway, here's a video that shows the bug when it happened with Legion's Landing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CsM8tNVjd0. You can see the bug happening right near the start, though I did not notice that whilst playing until a bit later.

Whoa. How about doing a simple test where just the relevant cards are being tested. That screen is impossible to decipher in regards to timestamps, etc.
