Add Deadpool, Trading Card
Would love to see this card added to play in Commander.
There are nontrivial open questions about how precisely Deadpool's effect should work, particularly around things like clone effects. Unfortunately, due to Deadpool being from a Secret Lair, there is no FAQ that was released with it and thus no official WotC rulings about precisely how it should work.
Deadpool works on the third layer. Clone effects operate on the first layer. There's no need for FAQ or rulings about something CR covers quite clearly.
Okay, so Quicksilver Gargantuan is in play (directly, without using its clone effect), along with a Force of Nature. Deadpool enters, using his Enters replacement effect to steal Quicksilver Gargantuan's rules text, then choose to clone Force of Nature with Deadpool's newly-obtained Quicksilver Gargantuan rules text. Who has what rules text when the dust settles?
According to a L1 judge:
Deadpool: Force of Nature {2}{G}{G}{G}{G} Creature — Elemental Trample (This creature can deal excess combat damage to the player or planeswalker it’s attacking.) At the beginning of your upkeep, this creature deals 8 damage to you unless you pay {G}{G}{G}{G}. 7/7
Quicksilver Gargantuan: Quicksilver Gargantuan {5}{U}{U} Creature — Shapeshifter As CARDNAME enters, you may exchange his text box and another creature's. At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 3 life. {3}, Sacrifice this creature: Each other player draws a card.
Force of Nature: Force of Nature {2}{G}{G}{G}{G} Creature — Elemental Trample (This creature can deal excess combat damage to the player or planeswalker it’s attacking.) At the beginning of your upkeep, this creature deals 8 damage to you unless you pay {G}{G}{G}{G}. 8/8
That is correct.
