Splinterfright immediately enters graveyard from battlefield after resolving

Nothing on the card states it should be put into graveyard. This has happened twice

{2}{G} Creature — Elemental / Trample Splinterfright's power and toughness are each equal to the number of creature cards in your graveyard. At the beginning of your upkeep, mill two cards.

If it has zero toughness, it will die and go the the graveyard. The card works fine for me.
