Drowner of Truth doesn't make tokens if counterspelled
The scenario; Drowner of Truth is cast, using mana from Eldrazi Temple. The trigger to create 2 spawns gets put on the stack. Opponent Counterspell's the Drowner. The trigger resolves, without an effect.
[[Drowner of Truth]]
Drowner of Truth // Drowned Jungle - (Gatherer) (Scryfall) (EDHREC)
{5}{G/U}{G/U} Creature — Eldrazi 7/6 Devoid (This card has no color.) When you cast this spell, if {C} was spent to cast it, create two 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature tokens with "Sacrifice this creature: Add {C}." :arrows_counterclockwise: Land Drowned Jungle enters tapped. {T}: Add {G} or {U}.
Is it specific to the intervening if condition, or does a simple cast trigger also fail when its spell is countered?
It seems somewhat similar to https://github.com/magefree/mage/pull/12553
