Manual registration of Mage sub instances as workspace

We would like the ability to manually register existing Mage instances with the project type set to sub as workspaces. The traditional method of creating workspaces (via API or UI) lacks flexibility and doesn't allow us to customize instances to our needs (e.g., using stateful sets). This could simply be a regular API endpoint. This is relevant for deployments on Kubernetes.

how do you start the sub instances? do you use the same database?

Hi, We deploy Mage using official helm charts and the same DB for all of instances.
