GitHub login on mobile

Open lorenx opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Hello. I'm having issues trying to setup a GitHub workspace from mobile. It works from desktop (and it doesn't depend on the new main default branch).

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open Chrome on mobile;
  2. Go to stackedit.net and setup a GitHub workspace (or just go to https://stackedit.net/app#providerId=githubWorkspace&owner=<owner>&repo=<repo>&branch=<branch>);
  3. Accept the Grant access to your private repositories popup: → It opens a new Chrome tab asking to login to GitHub;
  4. Enter the GitHub credentials (along with the new 2FA): → It goes to a blank https://stackedit.net/oauth2/callback?code=<code>&state=<state> page and it stops there.

The effect is that I'm not able to use it on my phone.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you.

I installed Android 10 and Android 11 on the Genymotion emulator, and installed Chrome 112.0.5615.135 and Chrome 112.0.5615.136 on the simulator's system. However, I was unable to reproduce the issue. Is there any way to reproduce this problem?

I don't know, I itemized all the steps I do on a real system. Maybe the differences of an emulated environment have an impact?

I just tried with Brave too (Brave 1.50.121, Chromium 112.0.5615.138) and the issue is the same.
