Motorola Moto G4 Play (XT1602) porting

We would like to have Maemo running on the XT1602/XT1603/XT1604/XT1607 in a stable fashion.

Tasks:

  • [ ] Order and send a XT1602 (maybe XT1607) to Tony

  • [ ] Mainline patches

Nitpick: the XT1602 is called the "Motorola Moto G4 Play". More information is available on the postmarketOS wiki. The devicetree is available in linux-msm8916, but not yet upstream.

@eloydegen - yep, thank you for the info. We picked this device because it already has decent mainline support, this ticket is mostly about making an image + packages for it, but I didn't yet find the time to actually update all the issues with descriptions. :)

This device currently boots, but has some issues with CRT blanking and backlight control via mce dosent work
