Moving in note jumps back to previous location and deletes

Sometimes (more often with notes longer than 10ish paragraphs) when I move from one section in the text to another and begin typing, it jumps back to the previous location and deletes the last word written, overwriting with the new text I'm trying to add. It seems random to me, but I know it happens sometimes when I italicize or change the formatting and then move to another location. It also happened recently when I copied a large chunk of text and then pasted and began typing.

I can keep it from happening by starting new edits or new writing with a single space. For some reason it never jumps back if I use a space first, even if I delete it immediately.

It seems to get worse the longer I'm working in the app, but that could also be bias because I get cranky about it lol.

This has been true for me since I started using the app like 5 months ago. I run it on grapheme on a pixel.

Hi! That looks like a keyboard issue some other users have reported. What keyboard do you use?

I use the standard English keyboard that comes with graphene OS. Do you have any recommendations for a keyboard that is open source and compatible with the app? I really like it otherwise.

I have only used Google Keyboard, which works fine with the app. Sadly I haven't used any open-source keyboards, so I couldn't recommend you any.

I forgot to ask, but does this happen only with rich text notes? If it does, then it's the bug with the editor library that I've talked about. I really don't how it happens, the library is quite complex and I don't have any knowledge of it since I'm not the one developing it.

For now, the only recommendation I can give is to try keyboards to see if they work, or to not use rich text notes (if they are indeed the only ones affected). Sorry about that 😔
