Fix keyboard popping when creating a new note (title and body)

Open xxbn2x opened this issue 5 months ago • 3 comments

When writing a new note, the keyboard pops on and off. I am currently running the default calyxos keyboard and I have tried with the fossify keyboard as well.

App version: v2.1.1 Android: 15

Hi, thank you for the video and the logs.

At first I thought this might be related to #160, I do know that some keyboards don't work well with the rich-text editor. But I see here that you created a markdown note.

Can you try 2 things:

  • Create a rich text note and a plain text note to see if the same bug happens?
  • Try with the Google keyboard (if possible)?

Rich text and plain text both produce the same issue.

Using Gboard doesn’t fix it either, so it seems the problem is on my end, likely due to using MicroG instead of Google Services.

Another issue I came across is with the option: focus the title when creating a new note. When creating a checklist with the option enabled, it focuses on the add entry field instead of the title (this may be intentional behavior, idk).

It could just be an issue with the app. It looks like the text field focuses as intended, but then something (maybe a page refresh) causes it to lose the focus. I remember this happening a while ago, I'll have to see if I can reproduce it.

Regarding the issue with the title of the checklist notes, I'll look into it as well.
