Open maehr opened this issue 1 month ago • 0 comments

Describe what feature you'd like. Pseudo-code, mockups, or screenshots of similar solutions are encouraged!

Implement systematic enforcement and guidance for the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR) research data publication best practices. The repository should:

  • Help users select appropriate repositories and discuss key characteristics (formats, size, metadata, support, persistent identifiers, retention, registration, costs, operator)
  • Recommend discipline-specific metadata fields
  • Provide guidance on clarifying authorship and using ORCID
  • Offer instructions/templates for preparing data packages (selecting files/versions, error checking, anonymization, open formats, README covering title/authors/funding/methodology/file overview/definitions/license, LICENSE file)
  • Guide users through the publication process (submission, metadata, linking articles and datasets, citation, data availability, article DOIs, OpenAgrar metadata)

Pseudo-code for implementation:

  • Audit all templates and documentation against the BfR checklist
  • Add missing guidance or templates where gaps exist
  • Provide checklists or prompts for users during the data publication process
