Add New Empty File fails on vspro v16.11.1

Description

Add new empty file doesn't add file to the solution

Steps to recreate

1. Select a filter in the solution explorer
2. Right click -> Add new file
3. Enter file name, press Add File
4. File is created on disk, but does not appear in the solution explorer

Current behavior

The file is created on disk correctly, and the folder path is figured out just fine, but it is not added to the solution.

Expected behavior

The file should be added to the visual studio solution explorer view

Same problem in VS 2022 Version 17.0.5 and this extension 4.1.8.
