were more interested in if you have any plan to make a similar extension for vscode since, i literally cant live without the add new file dialog in visual studio, i think the same function would be really great for vscode?

Might be late to the game, but have you had a look at "advanced-new-file"? It's well written, and quite similar to the great job Mads has done.
