Scrollbar not there in a new GH install.

Hello again! (again.)

I tried a new/fresh GrassHopper install in a Firefox profile (ESR 128.6) where there was almost no modifications. (Other profile was a bit faster than using Troubleshoot Mode for me.) Maybe the "problem" I saw also happens in other FF versions, nighty, Snap, .deb, .exe... I didn't try. I'm under Lubuntu 22.04 OS.

I think I only added NoScript addon, and ~100 empty or random tabs just to make the test. So after that I installed GH, and it opened in the sidebar. And there I only could see the 14 bottom tabs, and a possibility to click to go on top of the tabs list. But after that, I coudn't find the scrollbar to travel up and down through all the tabs, hovering the sidebar border only made the "closings" bar appear. Even the arrows of my keyboard didn't move them. I also could see that I could finally scroll with the border of the touchpad of my laptop (I never use these borders), and maybe the wheel of a desktop mouse works too.

I could easily enable the scrollbar with: "Main menu" top-left button > Settings > Find > (Typed "Scroll") > Show Scrollbars > Checked the Checkbox [x] > [Close] But I don't remember that at my install ~6 months ago I had had to enable it. In my opinion, I really would say that it should be there by default? Or seeing this, a new user might just think "This addon doesn't work > uninstall".

I also have a small hypothesis... I think that this addon is great so I find that 76 users (as of today) is strange because it is too few, maybe it is normal but to me it rather should be some hundreds or thousands. So maybe who knows, this problem was the cause for this lack of installs. But I have also other small hypothesis about that but well.

Anyway out of curiosity I noted the users count to see if it grows in the weeks following the scrollbar comeback (if it is made). 24/12/2024 67 users 17/01/2025 76 users https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/grasshopper-urls/ :)

Thanks for the feedback. I prefer having the scrollbar disabled by default because overlay scrollbars can get in the way of the buttons on the right, making them hard to click.

And yes it's weird how so few people use this awesome extension :)

Hey, thanks for the honor I just saw I'm mentionned as giving "good feedback"! Well so I am still non-developper but as I use GH everyday and I'm someone used to write small or big things, when I see something I can tell it.

Good or bad news: I have several other issues to open about reports or requests (but I want to close the ones I opened before).

I still feel your addon is really great, I think it is OFFICIALLY awesome. :D It saves my life as a tab-addict with 5000+ tabs. Tab Mix Plus doesn't install on my PC, and All Tabs Helper https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/all-tabs-helper/ is still good but abandonned. And I still don't undersand why it has not (not yet) more users (67 as of today). And I still (??) have a small doubt about the scrollbar not here by default being possibly a reason (this is the line not off-topic in fact but I would like to add a more developped comment later).

Anyway I apologize for unpolitely leaving 4 issues with no answer but I hope to give conclusions as soon as possible...
