Error after update

I get this message after I updated the library and trying to read the encoder:

E (21084) pcnt: _pcnt_get_counter_value(98): PCNT driver error

im going to need some more info:

1. Is the encoder working other than the error print?
2. what chip are you using?
3. what was the version you are using, what version worked?
4. Have you seen this error when just using an example?
5. What pins are you using?
6. What mode (full, half, or single edge)?
