Events API occasionally empty

Hey, so I'm working on a chrome extension for PAD event notifications using your API (link) and it makes calls to https://www.padherder.com/api/events/ once every hour at most.

I've noticed that on some days, the response is just empty (like right now) and it just won't update until later in the day. I read issue #856 so I have a vague impression that you're somehow pulling from PADx and they definitely have events on their site so I was wondering if you could help look into the issue? And if not maybe you could enlighten me on how you're pulling the data from PADx? I looked into scraping their site but it seems pretty nontrivial given their non-semantic structure.
