I set -n 5, The exception fire every time at [ plot 2 out of 5 ] , is this ram problem ??? , why always be 2 of 5 , not others ? and if set n =1 , plot one by one , it work pretty good.

usually that's unstable RAM

madMAx43v3r avatar Jun 28 '21 09:06 madMAx43v3r

Max,

Thank you for the information. I have reset my memory setting to auto and everything is running smoothly now. I am really liking the plotting time in the minutes compared to hours.

@madMAx43v3r i've reset memory to auto first, then even decrease frequency - still same error(((

@madMAx43v3r also checked memory - seems to be fine..

please advice what to check...

such a short check is not proof of stable RAM, need to do more mem checking, for like 1 hour

guys, here is my case, fyi. it DOES NOT work with default bios settings (error: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): thread failed with: input not sorted) after phase 2, but DOES work with overclocked preset (higher CPU frequency and higher memory voltage). I dont know why but it work... maybe it will be helpful for others.

i also have this problem and i was confused about over clocks confog i try for 10 days and nothing over clock, under clock and every thing you think does not help but a 1$ Fan solve my problem at ALL

i always had a "core dump" error in phaze 1 and some times in phaze 3 when i touched the RAM heat sinck with my hand it was realy hot very hot so i use a fan to cool it after instaling the fan every error gone for ever it is now plotting 55 plot and no problem at all anf RAM is so cool that you can touch it with hand like a charm

so HEAT is my problem and i think difrence between good servers and home computers is this my system config : x570 tuf gaming ryzen 3950x 128 gb Ram Gskill

plot time 33 min 20210706_142808

I also encountered this problem because of memory instability.

My original 32g * 4, ram, this error is reported. Try to use SSD instead of ram, still report this error, and then use the exclusion method to test with a single 32g memory one by one. Finally, I found that using one of them must report an error. Later, replace the faulty memory and everything will be ok. Although this memory can be used normally, except for Chia plotter
