Not Pulling Data From Fox Cloud

Open gjhill6100 opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

I have tried to following the instructions and copy the Custom_components folder in HA.

Copied the entries within my configuation.yaml file:

  • platform: foxess username: foxesscloud_username password: foxesscloud_password deviceID: foxesscloud_inverter_id

The above entries have been copied at the end of my existing "senor:" listings within the file.

I assume the "foxesscloud_username" is completely replaced with just the username used within the FoxEss Cloud Server and doesnt need "foxesscloud_" also included.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yes, the prefix is not required.

Hi,

I have installed the integration via HACS; configuration.yaml has the required lines and logger is set to debug for foxess.

After some failed attempts related to wrong deviceID and bumping into issue #165, that turned out in log messages stating HA couldn't connect to Foxess, now I get no error or log messages related to Foxess integration, but still not data at all. I see nowhere the sensors supposedly provided by the integration - they are not in entities or shown in Overview tab. Trying to add Foxess as an integration in HA generates a message that it must be done manually, that I assume is adding the lines to configuration.yaml.

HA is updated to 2023.5.2, FoxessHA integration to v0.26. Clicking on HACS / Foxess sends me to github README page. I even doubt that the integration is running or not (how could I tell?). A ps command on homeassistant docker doesn't show any process named foxess or similar running, but not sure if it should be running there. "docker ps" doesn't show any docker related by name to foxess.

Any help is welcome!
