Not working with latest players - Rhythmbox 3.0.1

Its not working with latest players. I tried it on rhythmbox 3.0.1 on Ubuntu 13.10. I tried installing the deb available in repos as well.

It just says No MPRIS-compliant players found running.

Its a very cool extension. Any plans of fixing it ?

I don't think this project is being maintained anymore. I've started a new project called playerctl that should work with new players and includes a library.
