Newly created captures using WebCitation never invoke the "Displaying Memento" interface

When a memento is being viewed, the Mink icon should display an "eye" to indicate that what is currently being viewed is a memento and not a page on the web. Because WebCitation is not Memento-compliant nor supplies a TimeMap, yet we still push new captures to it, viewing the recently archived page always shows "no mementos" for the archived page, despite itself being a capture.

Beyond special handling for non-Memento-compliant archives, I am not sure how to get around this. Is there any potential to leverage an existing Memento proxy deployment?
