Looking for Maintainers!

hello world (again),

I'm looking for maintainers interested in moving RJV forward.

As you can see by my commit history, I no longer have the to bandwidth to focus on this project. the feedback from users has been amazing! ... but i've kinda left my users out in the cold since I stopped contributing.

I would like to stay involved, but i'm looking to find at least two maintainers before handing off the keys to npm.

@Kikobeats is first on the list (thanks for volunteering!)

Anybody else interested in sharing ownership?
if you are - or you have questions about it - email me. i'm friendly :) if you're maintaining a killer fork, show me! it's a really easy way to convince me you're familiar with the code.

Hey Mac!

Thanks for creating such an amazing project and for caring about the users. Glad to see this opportunity to continue developing it.

As I know react-json-view is used in plenty of big and small open source projects (I also use it in my projects). In terms of this, what do you think about transferring it to a separate GitHub org with a team of core maintainers and allow other people to contribute to it? I'd love to join it as well.

Own GitHub org is still the same free way to host the project and manage contributors roles. But at the same time, imho it indicates more community-driven development and could be more attractive for new contributors

Hi @mac-s-g, what is the plan for this repository? The project is amazing, but if it doesn't keep moving forward, it might get unusable in the future in the future. I have time in the next 2 weeks to help unblock the project if needed.

hey everyone. sorry for the hiatus.
I'm planning to put some time in this weekend to explore possibly moving this to a different github org with a team of maintainers. I did some work this last weekend to update dependencies and address security vulnerabilities. we're down to 0 :)

I should have some sort of follow up this weekend.

Hi @mac-s-g It's been a while since I last came here. I've been doing some non-react related work for almost the entire 2020 so didn't have a chance to come back to the open source community. Glad to see that this awesome project is still under control and lots of folks are willing to contribute. I will spend more time in the future in the open source community and here in this project too as React Hooks, etc has become the mainstream. Maybe we could consider migrating to React Hooks in the near future.

Keep us posted about the new org/repo!

I've basically been on hiatus since literally 2018. I came back to this project recently and decided to put some effort into bringing it back to life.

I think that migrating to react hooks would be an awesome idea. i'm 100% behind that.

Any updates on maintainers? I have a PR that is sat waiting so I'd love to work with the right people to unblock it.

Looks like a deprecation notice was put https://github.com/mac-s-g/react-json-view/commit/443465ebdaa236da8c5d0e7bda2b7e57ca5d5a7b and a fork was recommended.

Although now there are many alternative forks. Which makes things a bit confusing going forward as to which one should be used.

It would be nice if everyone could converge to take ownership of this library here in this original location and consolidate the forked features together here.
