I am back in testing this. I finally managed to get it working by reverting the commit https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/commit/c8d2ab05e1e6bf21185723fabdebbe5bb3374381 I don't know what went wrong during my first tests, but now...

Do you have that file: `datasrc/nameserver-globals.csv` ? It needs to be in that exact subdirectory "`datasrc`". Example file: ``` 8.8.8.8,google, 1.1.1.1,cloudflare, 9.9.9.9,quad9, 208.67.222.222,openDNS, 84.200.69.80,DNSwatch, ```

I agree. Looks like a hardware issue. Could even be the SATA cable.

I have no doubt that this is hardware related. The ata errors you are seeing are low level. In my opinion this can never be done by a filesystem.

I tested with `Darktable-4.9.0+776.g6667649af8-x86_64.AppImage`. But this has an english GUI and it is not shwoing any german although I have set it to german: 

@cleidigh : The new tool works fine. The mbox file in question is now imported with all 231 messages. The old import-export tool only imported 229 messages.
