RPW newest update not working anymore for me
I went to use RPW to play a game with my friend today. I was using it a few weeks ago just fine. It would keep crashing when I sent my invite link out. I noticed there was a new update a week ago on the github that was to support the latest stable Steam client update, which I don't run the beta. So I replaced the old files with the new ones. I was able to send the invite out. When my friend used the link, it would join him as a broadcast instead of remote play, so he did not show up on the player list to assign him a controller or keyboard, and he was only able to watch the game and not interact with it. I checked, and he is running the latest stable version of Steam as well. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue as well?
Had the same experience first initialy until i tried to troubleshoot two different issues, the next session i tried to start the entire steam overlay broke and couldn't be interacted with whatsoever and was essentially layered below the game itself, prompting me to try to simply elevate the overlay over the game by giving it admin priviliges after which remote play whatever EVEN AFTER I REVERTED THIS now always instantly crashes when attempting to generate an invite or link
There are some interesting API changes in the latest Steam client update, I'm not sure if it'll be possible to fully restore RPW functionality.

Tried that, does not work for the latest stable client. Steam expects a valid group ID to be assigned to the in-Game overlay for the active AppID.
Will try later with the latest Steam beta.
