"Could not detect game running." when playing an xbox game.
I'm trying to use this program with Tetris effect, but it simply states that the program could not detect a game running.
Add RPW as a non-steam game, and add this into the launch options - "--appid 0". Let the RPW run in the background and now you can let your friend connect with you.

That fixed the issue of no game, but now it just says "couldn't connect to relay"

I've had this issue before. Perhaps tell him to try clicking on Join Game in the browser after the relay error pops up (the browser opens for your friend once you invite him). Since Remote Play starts automatically right after your friend clicks on the link, tell him to click on "Join Game" manually this time. This might help, and if it doesn't, maybe try rebooting PC or steam.
