Add more remote nodes to the node list
I recently had a lot of difficulties trying to connect to any of the three remote nodes listed by the wallet. While I can go look for other remote nodes and enter them manually, less tech-savvy uses would benefit from having much more remote nodes included in the app, e.g. from Moneroworld.
which ones specifically?
If you mean which ones I couldn't connect to: all (node.xmrbackb.one, node. moneroworld.com, node.xmr.be).
If you mean which ones to add: those on Moneroworld which are not yet added. If the Orbot integration goes well, even onion nodes.
I also had problem with most of the default nodes. opennode.xmr-tw.org:18089 is working for me.
I think it would also be useful to have some kind of auto select to another node that is working.
Is there a need to perhaps have more high-quality public nodes?
I could get something cooking..

Node-o-matic solves this. Closing.
Re-opening. Usually I can only see one node listed that has no connection error, and it's extremely slow.
try pools... for example:
node.supportxmr.com:18081
https://miningpoolstats.stream/monero
or private Node... download a Full Node monero daemon in your Desktop, and force it to work as a Node... connect monerujo to your private IP, when sync is complete, for example: 192.168.0.13:18081
cd /Users/user-name/Desktop/getmonero.org/monero-x86_64-apple-darwin11/ ./monerod --allow-local-ip --rpc-bind-ip 192.168.0.13 --confirm-external-bind --prep-blocks-threads 12
Sync takes time... Full Node 1 or 2 weeks, SSD recommended to download from 0, but then move to a spinning disk for safety, ssd/mvne dont last as long as a 2.5" hdd.
Monerujo or Cake for iOS needs to scan every block for your keys... and write down a small file with the results.
importing private keys allows to jump start, if you know your coins are recent, you can scan from 1million block and up.
@leafcutterant is you internet connection really bad? what's the ping on that node? (you see that when you click "Test" in its settings.
@m2049r the connection itself is supposedly good and stable. I'm getting pings of 500-900 ms on that node.
Is it normal to see only three nodes and have only one working?
