Auto or manual import?

I want to migrate from an old birthday widgets app.

Will this app automatically add new contacts or do I need to manually click the import button each time? This old app does automatically use every new contact.

Not everybody wants to automatically sync the app with the contacts, so you have to click the button each time, at least in the current version. I could add an option to automatically sync Birday with your contacts, but you're the first one to request it. I'll see if I receive other requests for this feature 🙂

It's hard to find a birthday widget to simply list upcoming birthdays on my homescreen which is also open source. :) And since it's open source I trust the app to get access to my local contacts list which is automatically feeded by my google account via gapps.

I would also like an auto sync option.

Done in d6af39973ec0f6ce500c4ca78e627177f2d2d6b8 and following. Basically, the app can now auto-import from contacts when launched. This options is still experimental, but i tested it and it works as it should 😄
