Can you change the license on this so it can be used along side other plugins/tools that are different licenses? GPLv3 makes it impossible to integrate in projects outside of GPLv3.

If you pick it ISC/MIT/ZLIB, its forward compatible to GPLv3. If it's GPLv3, it's not backward compatible at all, even to GPLv2 (unless they said GPLv2 and later)
