Persistent desktop names impossible with Xfwm4

"Desktop switch" plugin allows showing/setting names. Using openbox they get updated when changing them in obconf(-qt). Don't remember with kwin but I think it worked too. xfwm4-workspaces-settings in LXQt has the naming panel always empty and useless, only the number can be changed and is updated well in the panel plugin. Setting names in the panel plugin are not kept when session is restarted. Setting names in a Xfce session is working, but has no effect on visibility in xfwm4-workspaces-settings .

Expected Behavior

Possibility to use desktop names with xfwm4

Current Behavior

When set to "show names" Desktop 1, Desktop 2, and so on is shown always .
