macOS 10.12: Arrow glyphs not aligned properly

The arrow glyphs are not aligned correctly, see attached screenshot. I'm using Terminal with OMZ with powerlevel9k theme on macOS 10.12.2. But I think this really is a font issue....

Patched version introduces ligatures

The original Menlo doesn't have ligatures, but this patched version does. Please be true to the original version, without ligatures, and just add the Powerline symbols.
