Problems while starting Baldurs Gate 3 installer

Before I start:

1. This might be a problem focused on nixos. I just want to check that this is the case.
2. Technically, everything works. But it spits out warnings and works a bit... meh

Yesterday, I downloaded all the many 4GB Files for Baldurs Gate 3 from GOG and used the "automated" installer in lutris. I pointed it to the .exe file and got the following warnings:

1. The setup will not continue, so the windows installer of baldurs gate will not open UNTIL the lutris install script is aborted. In this precise millisecond, the BG installer will open. This is has not been a coincidence! This is quite easily repeatable.
2. Once the lutris setup is aborted once and then normally started again, the same warnings will pop up but then the Baldurs Gate 3 Windows installer will open up almost immediately. The log of the lutris install script will then contain more informational messages after the warnings shown above:

wine: using kernel write watches, use_kernel_writewatch 1.
fsync: up and running.
wine: using kernel write watches, use_kernel_writewatch 1.
...

If one uninstalls the game from within lutris and then attempts to install it again, this pattern above is repeated.
