compatibility with 2016-05-10-raspbian Jessie

Open Reno-renard opened this issue 9 years ago • 5 comments

Hi,

This is not working with the new raspbian version (2016-05-10). I had to install back the 2016-03-18-raspbian version to be able to print the example.

I'm using a raspberry pi v2.

Regards, Renaud.

Thanks Renaud!

Unfortunately I don't have a working printer here to test, but we can use this ticket to update the progress. As always, pull requests are very welcome.

Do you have errors or something what can help investigations?

Same here with a RasPi 3 Model B. printertest.py just leaves the Pi doing nothing. The longest I waited was 5 Minutes, then I aborted with ctrl-c. No errors are shown. 2016-03-18-raspbian didn't work for me either. I will try NOOBS-2015-11-24 now.

Update: unfortunately this library doesn't seem to be compatible with the Pi 3 B, respectively the Raspbian versions (i am using noobs) that can be installed without warnings on the latter.

A little help here, I created this library for Python 3, which is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 2/3 : https://github.com/BoboTiG/thermalprinter
