Problem in examples/readline.lua with Splitscreen

It appears that there is an issue with the examples/readline.lua when used in a splitscreen environment. The script does not handle splitscreen scenarios correctly, resulting in unexpected behavior.

i was running in windows 11 , wsl-ubuntu , lua 5.3.3 , windows terminal

Steps to Reproduce

Set up a splitscreen environment.
Run examples/readline.lua.
