Adguard works with Hostsman as a backup
Just making a post to let people that use these League of Legends helper programs know they can use the Adguard program(paid) to block the ads. I recommend the nightly update channel in adguard's General Settings section. And you need to add the programs exe via the Network tab -> List of filtered applications -> + symbol -> search for blitz (or overwolfbrowser in the case of porofessor) -> select blitz.exe or overwolfbrowser.exe and make sure it's checked. You also need the adblocker "filter" to be enabled which is tied into the network filter where you added the exe -- Just make sure the adblocker function is enabled.
An alternative to adguard is Hostsman--It ads ad network links to your host file(search that if you want to know more) which blocks your computer from accessing the sites through any application. You will want to use the "MVPS hosts" LIST in Hostsman. After you're done playing/using blitz you will want to revert the changes using the backup function in hostsman as blocking sites from being accessed can break some sites while browsing the web. This is easier than it sounds to set up and use the backup function I promise.
In terms of sourcing these programs, you can find old versions of Adguard online if you don't want to pay for premium or find the r/piracy subreddit on reddit and find a working link. Hostsman is a freeware program and easier to use and set up.
I don't think so brother
Yes I restarted the app
In the event you already read my last message I wanted to update my findings. I found that by changing the Update Channel in General Settings to nightly and refreshing adguard on the main screen, then restart blitz, not only was it blocking ads but it shows that each time you open the application it's blocking over 400 ad links.
EDIT:
With DNS filter enabled everything is filtered!
Not everything but some stuff is "blitz special" so can't really remove them unless I do it myself or add them to adguard

Interesting. I'm only using Adblocker, nightly definitions, and then I added the program's exe to the network tab. I even defaulted my settings to start fresh. So I don't have stealth mode, dns protection, or parental controls enabled. Though I only have Adguard for this purpose xD
If that's what works for you then we're good. I hate ads and refuse to allow them to exist on any of my entertainment platforms.
I have checked my hosts file as well as restarted my pc. My hosts files is default.
Turning off ad blocker in adguard and restarting blitz brings the ads back. By nightly I mean the definitions not the program itself. Edit: Wait now I'm confused. That setting is for the program not the definitions... I guess. My program isn't updating to 7.11 nightly though.
Odd... I restarted blitz and waited multiple times before posting. So I know it's the DNS option that fixed my ads. Strange its different for you tho!
At least
no more ads
Getting back to this (if anybody is still active here). When I use Adguard and (successfully) block ads, I can't use ingame overlays. They are just gone. Any idea how to get them back and still block the ads?

Coming here as I'm currently working on a patcher but for OPGG.
In my case it's because live features like overlay and game account link are loaded from the same url as ads. I'm currently trying to patch this nightmare so it might be the same for Blitzgg.
Also I might integrate a patch for blitz in the near future if I handle this problem first, I'll come back here to post about it if it happens.
