more tests needed?

there are only 6 tests which test only test 6 out of first 7 functions.

I know, I'm new to project management and don't really understand tests. They seem like a lot of extra work with little return. I'm doing some research on them right now to see if I can understand them better.

They are a simple way to check if a pull request messes something else up, pretty useful, but still takes time to implement. I could work on tests if you'd like.
