Removing continuous monitoring?

Is there a way to remove the continuous monitoring switch after it's been added? I have "isContinuousMonitoringEnabled": false but the switch won't go away in Homekit. Seems like my only option is removing it from homekit and adding it again, which would take resetting all my automations.

I also see this problem after initially having it set to True, setting to False doesn't remove the accessory in the Home app.
