The extension is not compatible with the latest gnome-shell 3.24

I can confirm this. The extension does not work with gnome-shell 3.24. The tweak tool only informs me that there was an "error loading extension". Unfortunately, there is no further info in the log files.

Confirmed here as well. Amending metadata.json to include 3.24 or 3.24.0 doesn't help either. Also couldn't find any errors, but this may be related to GJS updating to SpiderMonkey 38 Javascript engine. See: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gjs/tree/NEWS?h=1.47.90

I have published a new version on extensions.gnome which might fix the issue you're encountering, could you please give it a spin?

Sorry, that version won't install on 3.24.

Same problem on Arch Linux: GNOME Shell 3.24.1
