Microphone and loudspeaker control
Hello, it is not possible through a HomeKit app unfortunately the speaker and the microphone does not control over the app. A developer of a HomeKit app told me:
The developer of the Homebridge plugin for Fosam is to implement the services of type HMSERVICETYPESPEAKER and HMSERVICETYPEMICROPHONE, each with the characteristic HMCHARACTERISTICTYPEMUTE.

I am not sure if I understand you correctly. If you are talking about the slider added after iOS 10. Mine works without a problem. The slider control the volume output on the phone. The mute/unmute toggle works as well. It's used to mute/unmute the phone's microphone, not the camera's.
That's right, in the app "Home" it works with the volume and the microphone. But I can not control the volume and the microphone in third-party apps.
plugin works with Apple's Home but not with 3rd Party apps which rely on HMSERVICETYPESPEAKER and HMSERVICETYPEMICROPHONE.
These services should be implemented with at least HMCHARACTERISTICTYPEMUTE
I tested it with myHome „myHome - Heim Automatisierung“ von Joerg Wissemann https://appsto.re/de/pmoC_.i (I'm the developer of the app) The above mentioned service types are the HomeKit standard services to control the ca era's speaker and microphone. Apple's home app, as you already me tinned, just controls the microphone and speaker of the iOS device. This deviates from their own standards which you can test for example with the HomeKit accessory simulator

Yes, please for other apps intrigue. It only works with Apple's iOS Home App, not with third-party apps
