Possible to expose different accessory?

I'm currently using homebridge-garagedoor-command with a custom backend that I built using my Garageio to control my garage. This works great, but it has no polling. Would it be possible to change this plugin so that a garage could be an accessory type?

I would love this also for the Blinds that I just got working via this plugin.
