Confirmation of image submission

Can there be a "You've submitted" or some confirmation that appears when a person drags and drops the images into the Submit Images page?

Almost like food delivery apps that tells people to "relax, your food is on its way?"

Hi @profpickles! Thanks for opening this issue. Right now, when someone uploads an image, confirmation takes the form of a check mark if the image was successfully submitted, and an "x" if something went wrong. Do you think if we included text on the submission page that explained, that would help? If we had something like "A check mark means your photograph was submitted to OpenOversight! If you see an x, something went wrong, and here are some reasons why that might be the case, etc."

OH!!! I guess I was thinking (when I first used it), that the check mark indicated that it was selected...almost as if it was the first step and then I would submit. The suggestion you gave would work but I'm wondering if it were even simpler...like "submitted!" would pop up along with the check mark???

I was also confused by this when I first used OO. I think it could benefit from some additional indicators of success or failure just to make it extra clear for the user what has happened. Maybe instead of the grey watermark of a checkmark or X, a green "success" and red "failed"? And maybe some text above or below the upload box that says "N photos submitted" as you add photos.

Okay, so if modifying the dropzone button so that it's either a green checkmark or a red x would sufficiently clarify, that seems very reasonable!
