If you don't want to use hardcoded IPs `208.67.220.220` or `208.67.222.222` you can instead resolve the IPs by querying for the `A` record of `resolver1.opendns.com` or `resolver2.opendns.com`
You're decision! But in general a DNS query is a faster than a round trip HTTPS request-response. We're probably splitting hairs though talking about milliseconds.

@ArthurHuyghe I wouldn't use that, it could disappear at any time. Also, it returns an IPv6 address when the computer has one, which is not desirable in most cases.

Not sure if this FR includes the concept of alerting on thresholds based on these averages? It would be wonderful if we could change the current alert mode which triggers...
