Corporate heat levels
Add a trigger/step system to areas similar to Matrix steps. As a PC commits 'bad' acts in an area, raise a heat (criminality) value associated with that PC; as it gets high enough, spawn beefier guards and special response teams to deal with them. Have the highest level of SRT be unbeatable by lone PCs (you need a group to get through them).
- If you piss off a corp enough, you are effectively blacklisted from it due to SRT showing up to wipe you out
- Heat persists, but decays over time
- Heat can be decreased by a decker jacking in and hacking it lower for you
- Heat can also be raised by a decker
- Stealth matters-- if nobody catches you or can see/identify you, the area gets alarmed but your personal heat doesn't increase
