#266 has answer. compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:23.1.1' compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.1.0' compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:23.1.0'

Some library will include the new support library. Found them, and you will see the external library list has a 23.1.0 support library.
