Load a svg image to stage

I'm trying to load an image to stage, and i need to resize/scale it. But i can't find a way or a property to do it. I've used this:

var defaultURLSVG:String = "image.svg";
var svgImage:SVGDocument = new SVGDocument();
svgImage.load(defaultURLSVG);
addChild(svgImage);

I've seen that a SVGImage, has the property i need, but i can't seem to get a way do load the image from the SVGImage class.

Can you help me please?
