Unable to import GPG exported Secp256k1 key

I'm trying to import an encrypted Secp256k1 key that was exported using GPG but I get the message that the key is unsupported. Kindly bring the software up to parity with GPG supported keyset. RSA keys are large and bulky whereas elliptic curve keys can provide similar level of security with much smaller footprint. I do not wish to be forced to use RSA.
