Suggestion: add a "demagnetiser" block
Some mods have things that must be, or are faster when, processed as dropped items. It would be nice to have a block that will cause an otherwise active magnet to cease functioning in a certain region (possibly configurable).
I second this, I love the magnet in general, as it is such a great utility, but there are some places in my base where the magnetization breaks the behaver of other things, requiring me to take it off manually.
