It may or may not be a good idea to use the same application to change the profile photo, which is stored in jpegPhoto attribute. Of course not everybody wants it, so it must be behind a configuration option.

I'm not sure SSP should be an application to use to update all information user entry. You can use something like FusionDirectory to offer a web interface to update information.

Anyway, this may be a feature for future versions.

By the way: FusionDirectory is a beast. I once tried - absolutely not easy to install and maintain.

SSP is fortunately quite easy and simple.

Hello,

Fusiondirectory is packaged for every main distribution and easy to install if you use provided packages.

Especialy those day with version 1.2.x where nobody move as in the old days due to the new release policy rules

And of course FusionDirectory is more suited to manage users and all of their attributes where self service password is more focused on password management.

Anyway if you encouter issues with FusionDirectory feel free to come discuss with us on #fusiondirectory on freenode

As for me, at least allow changing / adding phone number should be an available in web interface like we have an opportunity to add SSH Public key. If user have those attributes, then they need to confirm changing with SMS / email. If a user didn't have a phone number - then he can add it using domain password as confirmation.
