Undelete Number IO problem

Lee somehow deleted the Number IO problem in this commit b7144fa546bf8ae221b2c1f11f38920681211b97 , when updating the version number.

I'll work on undeleting it.

I guess Lee needs that shell script after all :P

I saw weird messages about that file... and thought that it only had something to do with a discrepancy between my own working and master branches, possibly involving the use of "git add ." vs "git add -u" (such intuitively named commands! and the messages that I was seeing were also breathtaking in their clarity and complete descriptions of what was happening! NNNNOOOOOTTTTTT). Eventually I stopped seeing the messages so I thought all was well.. and I guess it was indeed well BROKEN.

If there's really no better way for me to say "yes, let's accept that change" than to go through a manual sequence of cryptic and error-prone steps then that's just sad.
