Symlinks being followed instead of backed up

DevonThink adds a "Save PDF to DEVONthink 3" alias in ~/Library/PDF Services and Mackup is backing up the destination instead of the alias resulting in a useless 350mb folder that is basically the whole app.

Can Mackup be configured not to follow symlinks when it backs up files?
