The work done by @lprhodes it's awesome, but apparently he couldn't continue with the project. I know life sometimes could be very hard, but the lack of updates in a important plugin like this, could delay the progress.

I as a user face some problems with my Broadlink 62be, 6539 and the plugin. My problem was solve instantly with the fork made by @kiwi-cam, which include more button options.

Please, don't consider this as some way to create fights or comparison between which is better or not, it's only to be practical and give a hint in case you see a message for the devices mentioned to raise issue here.

Follow the fork https://github.com/kiwi-cam/homebridge-broadlink-rm

I don't think there's any conflict in this community - I hope there isn't. If @lprhodes ever wants to bring this back to life, I'd love to have all the features merged back.

H, I have almost all my house automated using this plugin, and I agree, it's no longer being updated, so there is no way to fix problems, so my question at this moment is if there is another plugin similar to this one.

I want to try the fork created by @kiwi-cam; if I install it should I remove the original version? Would uninstalling the original version remove the existing accessories from the config file?

@krharrison1 as long you don't create your config.json inside node_modules, you don't lose your configurations. But to be sure make a backup before the change.
