Support for Fahrenheit in config

Open ifeign opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

I was wondering if you could implement Fahrenheit as a supported unit not just for display in Homekit, but for actually writing up the config itself.

I spent a lot of time last night getting each temperature code in Fahrenheit only to learn that I have to do it in Celsius. Though this technically works, it creates two issues:

  • the display on my air conditioner is set to Celsius when I control it via the Broadlink RM Pro. Not a huge issue for me, but confusing for my roommates
  • I lose granular control over my AC, there are 14 Celsius temperatures, but 24 Fahrenheit temperatures I can set on my air conditioner, so when I have the plugin set to display Fahrenheit units, I can only select temperatures in powers of two.

@lprhodes any help I can provide for this? Would love to see this supported and willing to contribute if you find this feasible.
